Why do forwardly grown faces have thicker necks

anyone knows why? the more forward growth and angular mandible = ticker neck

maybe it's because it has something to do with the airway?

because development is all connected retard,bones dont just grow in one area of the face and not the rest of the body,these types of people also have bigger fists,feet size etc just overall better development

I think its reasonable to assume that a horizontally wider skull with a wider base will have thicker or more neck muscle fibres running through the attachment site.
An extreme example would be an ape
