Nothing, it's just that they have a reason for liking attractive people. You don't see any girls obsessing over a really good singer who looks bad. Because they all look good. They can't be accused of being shallow and trivial for liking a good-looking singer just because he's good looking, they just mask it by saying "he's a really good singer, therefore, I love him" not say that's just good looking.

Because they are famous and/or have status. There are lots of great singers but if they are not famous they dont get much attention from females. Even some “famous” singers, like opera singers, dont have appeal to women because opera doesnt have social desirability like pop music

exactly. The weeknd looks good which is why he gets success. It's all about looks. There was this girl who was really good at singing on this talent show but she was ugly as fuck so everyone judged her. Most of those singers use ghostwriters and have people use vocals for them.
