Why do girls stare at me?

Sometimes at school, when I walk by a random girl she will stare at me and we make eye contact. However they just stare at me with a neutral expression, they don't smile or giggle, but they aren't disgusted either. What is the meaning of this?

Not sure sometimes it means nothing but one girl who had a crush on me for 2 years did this to me not sure if it’s just her though. Some girls who had a crush on me smiled when we made eye contact. I think it depends on your resting face — when I’m in a neutral mood and have resting bitch face they stare at me with no expression but when I’m in a good mood with a smirk on they smile at me.

quick glance = caught their eye but arent interested
glance look away and glance back = need to double take at what they saw either ur ugly af or attractive
long look, "hey", swinging their hair around = trying to rizz
no look = ur ugly
