Estrogen is the primary hormone that contributes to closing growth hormone. It doesn't just close your growth plates after "spiking it" it slowly closes your growth plates after a long period of time.

The reasons why foids stop growing earlier is not because their estrogen is "spiked" its because they have way higher estrogen levels than us in general over a long period of time which contribute to earlier growth plate closure

That's why its optimal to minimize estrogen as much as possible
