Why do i have to wake upp 3 hours before checking my hormones and why do they do it so early

I'm getting my hormones checked in Wendsdays but i dont understand why i have to do it so early in the morning at 8.30 and wake upp 3 hours before they take my blood when the doctor told me what time it is i asked him why and he said that they have to do it in the early morning and that i have to wake upp 3 hours before taking my blood but i didn't ask more details and I don't understand what is the difference if they take it later in the day

No the doctor said that to check the hormons it has to be this time between 8 and 9 no matter what after that time they can't do it and you'll have to do it a other day but same time it's not like a regular blood test

Probably so you dont eat/hormones dont destabilize and mess up the tests
