Why do I look chinlet in selfie profile photos?

When I take profile photos from more than 1 meter away I look normal, but in selfies when the camera is too close my profile gets destroyed and my chin looks weak.

In the mirror I look normal too, it's only the fucking selfies.

Does this really happen or is it a cope of mine?

Common enough why do you think almost all women take selfies through the mirror? They are aware that the lens distortion makes them look weird and I bet you that is a large reason why bodydysmorphia is on the rise everywhere. People see themselves in selfies and hate themselves. Plus selfie lens is different to back lens and distance changes everything too. Most likely you are recessed but selfies make it appear more severe than it actually is.
