Why do i Look so bad in photos

When someone takes a picture of me i look so bad but in the front camera and mirror I look fine why?

if youre unattractive youre gonna look bad in photos i don't think blaming lens distortion or anything similar is fair even though they could have a small impact, the reason is just facial unattractives but idk depends on your situation look if you fat or something
