Why do I look so much more subhuman far away in the mirror?

Whenever I stare at the mirror at a close/normal distance (1-2m or so) i look ugly, i wont deny it, but not the worst ive seen. But whenever I stare at it from farther than that I look even uglier. Why is this? What distance is actually how I look like to people IRL?

its just because of distortion that you eyes have when you are far away, people see you as you see yourself in the mirror when you are close to it

Bump kinda important. I look low ltn in the mirror close up but when i step back 1-2meters i legit look subhuman. My eyes have a pct and my eye hooding is neutral when close up but far away hooding goes death tier negative that it turns my eyes giga nct when its literally pct. So brutal. My eyes are somewhat normal in size not that big nor small, pfl is like 2.4:1(death tier over ratio ik, ideal is 4:1) but when far away my eyes literally goes nonexistent it turns giga small wtf
