Why do incels use "cope" as an insult?

If you're going through some shit (and I mean actual shit, not just "can't get laid easily") in life and you're coping well, that's a *good* thing.

If things keep going wrong in your life and you're not coping, that generally means you're falling apart.

So... Why is it a bad thing to be handling shit well despite life not going in the direction you want it to?

Has it somehow become a point of pride for incels to just fall apart when life isn't absolutely perfect? Or is "cope" now taking on a different definition for incels?
