Why do men become such asshats when they age especially when they reach middle age?

Has anyone else noticed this? A lot of young guys in their twenties and thirties are chill and cool af when whenever men reach middle age they become insufferable and pieces of shit to be around is there a reason why?

It gets even worse when they become old is it due to the higher estrogen and lower testosterone levels? I noticed that high t men are less grumpy and more cool and chill even in old age and the beta cucks are the worst ones when they get older.
