If you have no idea what it's like then why not simply trust the person who is experiencing it?
I rarely see this demeaning logic be applied to any other hardship. It shouldn't take much to be an empathetic person unless your goal is quite literally to always belittle and demean other people. IMO it's kinda sad if this toxicity is all that keeps you going in life.
