Why do my eyes look uneven in the reversed filter?

I uploaded a picture of my face with the reverse filter and clearly my eyes are the same height but as soon as I remove the red line they seem to glide apart by a centimetre. I don’t sleep on my back because I get restless in that position.

My theory for this is that I’m just not used to see myself reversed.
Does anyone know the root cause of this and if it’s real or just an illusion?
