Why do my organs scare me?

I’m scared of my heart and guts. What scares me is that they’re just a bunch of weird looking organic tissue that somehow keeps me alive. But what’s stopping my organs from shutting down or just giving up randomly? How can I expect my organs to just continue going when they never sleep or rest?
