So why do men get surprised when their girls cheat? Like if your below average height, skinny fat, balding, and have got a normal face, then why do you expect your girl to not try find a better partner?

Because society says personality is the most important thing when looking for a partner. As a consequence they think that letting themselves go a little wont hurt because they think its their personality, humor or charisma that won them their partner.
