Why do normies like bragging about their hardships?

It’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen from normies. “Muh you’re soft” and they go on a rant about how hard and pathetic their life is jfl. The average normie is a slopbrained narcycel that wants admiration only Chad gets and they think being “tough” will get them that. Although that’s probably secondary and they’re likely unbelievably jealous of chads that grew up perfect.

I honestly wish I hadn’t had a single hardship growing up, I don’t care how much it helps with “muh character.” It’s a braindead thing to say hard work is better than it being handed to you.
