Discussion Why do people act like genetics are some sort of „unbeatable“ thing?

I don’t get why people act like genetics are some sort of superpower and you can only look good natural? Getting a surgery for your canthal tilt, jaw angularity, chin height is literally the same thing and if you have a good surgeon and it suits your face it won’t look uncanny. But people say „muh genetics beat everything“ like we are in a objective factual world not some comic book. Surgery works objectively even if it’s too good to be true.

Not just genetic, but environmental during your development. If you had a fucked up childhood it will wound your ego and you might become incapable of having the psychological resources to work or just ascend in general

Genetics also control how you're gonna age mind you, or how you're gonna respond to rejuvenation procedures,etc
Like some people are more likely to develop keloid scars from skin injuries than others, some are more likely to develop fibrotic tissue from laser or microneedling

Yeah if you get canthoplasty because you have nct of course you would look like shit if you make your canthal tilt like Baretts. But I’m 100% that everybody looks better without a recessed chin or nct. You should aim for natural results and not overdo it that’s the reason things like harmony exists

yeah that’s the only exception. Have a good forward grown forehead not even a long cranial base but a forward grown forehead and you can still ascend very good
