What's the rationality behind giving your freedom away just to spend 5-10 years in a 4x4 cupboard.

In before "muh low iq" - Lazy argument considering my dog knows that if it does x action there will be y consequence. If you're able to handle a gun or rob a convenience store I'm fairly certain you're also able conceptualize what life in a prison cell will be like.

Because it’s meant to happen

Because they got scammed by life

Some people can be successful at it and go on long runs. They also understand that they can minimize the consequences too through gaming the system once they get caught. For those folks is in their DNA, and living a normal life abiding by the rules that most people do is no different than living in a cage anyways.

For others it's just stupidity.

Anyways, not all crime is the same. Lots of people do less risky stuff for a while and glean a lot of profit before pulling the plug and never end up getting caught.

The fuck? Easy to get in crippling debt when you're poor. Welfare ain't gonna bail you out.

Unironically just get a job or kill yourself, what will turning to crime accomplish other than a prison sentence considering how easy it is to get caught with intelligent agencies having the surveillance tech they do

I can tell your're a spoiled white boy. When you're down you can't get a job. You got no car, place to live maybe, no experience or references. Why would anyone hire you when they can get some spic without all that baggage?
Listen bro, life can really fuck you over. Your family get in to trouble with the wrong people, you get fucked some way (accused of rape and ostracized) or whatever. Get in debt with the wrong people then lose your job etc.

The straight forward, non-pretentious answer is 1) because people find it cool and 2) it can give you something you want for less effort than the legal route would require.

Status and money basically.

Then just man up and kill yourself at that point. It's over, you lost.

Muh i'm going to become a mafia boss criminal in the 21st century where intelligence agencies can track every single movement, decision and message that I could possibly make.

jfl you wouldn't say that if it was a family member. KYS faggot.

For the record I'm a workcel and have earned and lost more money than you will make in 10 years.

to make a lot of money straightforwardly, in a few years you could make billions being a human trafficker starting your business from the bottom , its pretty easy to lose your morals , youll get roped into doing something you dont want to do and them youll have to do it again amd again and then you will no longer feel remorse

I would tbh. Not my problem that they got left behind. If I were in the situation you described, I'd end it.

Yes by working, not committing various illegal crimes that could get you sent to prison.

Maybe in western Europe lmfao. Not in America. The US is like a 2nd or even 3rd world white country.

It's legit IQ. Some people are incomprehensibly dumb and can't weigh risk and reward against each other like a normal person. It's the same reason really dumb people just shrug off having multiple children out of wedlock. When smart people commit dumb crimes, it's mental illness, but most criminals are very dumb in a way you cannot comprehend.

See I used to believe it were solely IQ but how do you explain animals, who are capable of being trained not to perform an action because then they'll face a negative consequence and they're perfectly able to comprehend this risk/reward ratio, yet some humans are not. Is prison just not that good of a deterrent?

Animal's view of it is as a negative association. They aren't comprehending a risk/reward ratio, just that a bad thing is gonna happen if they do something. Stupid people think they'll beat the odds.

Actually this makes sense as to why there's almost this perfect sweet spot for crime in terms of iq (80-90). Intelligent enough to attempt to self rationalise the risk/reward but dumb enough to produce the wrong answer.

Its lucrative. Police don’t have a bunch of ‘intelligence’ etc. like you are describing, people mainly get caught because they get told on.

You can make 1k a week being a low level drug runner with little chance of being caught

This is why organised crime exists, police are a step behind it’s not that hard to evade them + it’s evident by the multi-billion dollar illicit drug trade.

You wouldn’t believe it sitting at your wagie job or in your suburban house but there ain’t no money like cocaine money, it built entire cities in America + is responsible for some of the richest men in history.

Regardless police are not your friends they are a gang like anyone else.

You say all of this yet you are not a low level drug dealer nor apart of a multi billion illicit drug trade despite the apparent little chance of being caught and instead spend your time rotting on an incel forum. Why?

He's not, but many people are. You're both funny.

Average "criminal" I've known in my life living in a shitty area:
1) Below average intelligence
2) Little going for them, not much to risk

Optional is if they obvious impulsivity problems. I put criminal in quotes because it's demeaning to see them as deliberately doing bad things because they often aren't. It's shit like getting in fights, carrying drugs on the street, and resisting arrest for stupid shit they wouldn't get in trouble for (big one). I knew someone who drove without a license, sped, and had an unlicensed firearm in his car. Low IQ shit. He was a slayer though.

We carry neurogenetic markers that modulate our behavior differently/at different rates, basically defining our mental phenotype

The problem is that the brain is much more complex than other organs and body parts, so the science on it is nowhere close to advanced enough for us to use those neuromarkers for prevention remotely efficiently and ethically. If we start applying this, we might just get v 2.0 of Cesare Lombroso and theories about atavism

Theoretically, after factoring in the regular triggers (poverty, circumstances like the type and functionality of pertinent legal/executive system, in other words strictness of penal code and criminal procedure statute and quality of the police and the judiciary, particular past event that could serve as a motive, or even psychopathology we can already detect and which we already hold sufficient for institutionalization), we might find out that someone is, to put it simply, 80% likely to snap or turn to crime, and that raises the obvious ethical question of when to act, which would have to be resolved through legislation first

solid article on it, and sam harris talks about this in some of his speeches that can be found on yt

You actually need to be quite NT to be a dealer, especially if you’re starting from scratch + larger scale operations are typically gate-kept
