Why do people crave company?

I legit can't understand it. I hate being around other people for longer than maybe 30 min to an hour. I do have some shared hobbies with other people but I find it enough to infrequently communicate with them via forums or discord. I would never want to spend any large amount of time with them on a personal level.

What exactly is it that people get out of being around others?

Some people are the Chads or Stacys of the group and feel importance and validation, so that's one reason.

Another reason is trying to leech off of others money or resources.

Some people also can't handle the feeling of loneliness so they'll find others to converse with and just to "do" something.
