Why do people even drink full sugar soda?

What’s even the point? Coke zero/pepsi zero or anything zero tastes the exact same. People have no excuse to be drinking full sugar other than for the love of the game.

When I used to wrestle, some guys would drink it as fast acting glycogen before their matches

Also asparthame and artificial sweeteners are literally poisonous.
Pure glucose like that isn't good eather, but it's not as bad if you burn and metabolize it very quickly (hard to do with the copious amounts of sugar in energy drinks and soda).

I'd just avoid drinking them tbh.
