Why do people get scared about the idea that we’re living in a simulation

whether or not we’re in a simulation has never really interested me

Like if i learned we were in a simulation right now it would change nothing in my life

being in a simulation does degrade the value/meaning of life

Because life has no value/meaning inherently you need to create those things

Nothing I can do about it anyways. My black ass will still rot here.

Yes it literally makes 0 difference, impossible to prove or disprove too. There's not even a cultural basis for it like religion it's just like Joe Rogan woooaaahh man that's crazy

I know not, nor do I care

Let me live deep while I live

Let me know the rich juices of red meat and stinging wine on my palate

The hot embrace of white arms, the mad exultation of battle with the blue blades, flame and crimson, and I am content

Let teachers and priests and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion

I know this: if life is an illusion, then I am no less an illusion myself, and being thus, the illusion is real to me

I live, I burn with life, I love, I slay, and am content
