Because it's now like the entertainment equivalent of McDonalds. Maybe it's good in the moment because of the spectacle and humor (even that's debatable) but it leaves you with no lasting impact like a great story should. Just like food is supposed to nourish your body, entertainment is supposed to nourish your spirit.
