Why do people hate when someone thinks of themselves as “10/10”?

Happens all the time. Some sub8 rates themself 10/10 and whole comment section starts ridiculing and insulting them???
Why should you be "objective and realistic" about your looks, consequently lowering your standards and expectations in dating/life in general?

Do you know how much better your quality of life would've been if you had that delusional mogger brain chemistry, instead of being "objective and realistic"

"Better version of yourself" just means improving arbitrary parameters that society conditioned you to value. Whether you're looks/career/personality maxxed or not shouldn't dictate your intrinsic self-worth. If your self-worth is defined by other people’s opinions, or you feel a constant need for self-improvement, you have subhuman brain chemistry
