It’s a stupid argument and the people making it are cowards and also ignorant. They project degeneracy onto freedom when really they should just look around and see that society is both less free and more degenerate than ever. They also don’t understand black markets, forbidden fruit effect, they just assume that the government banning things is an effective solution.

And what they really don’t understand when they propose making the government/state more fascist will solve society’s problems is that the government is a self serving entity. It doesn’t matter what type of government it claims to be. It will always serve itself, capital and power, it will never be truly loyal to the people/nation. Sometimes the best interests of the two can align, but it will only be a matter of time before the government has to choose between a course of action that benefits either itself or the people, in which case it is liable to betray the people every time.

Their argument comes from distrust of the wrong thing, they should be distrusting government, not freedom.

I agree, I was going down that rabbit hole but when I looked at it from outside of the echo chamber I noticed alot of inconsistencies with the ideas of national socialism

We don't have anything close to it right now ?

they always talk about free speech then get scared when they have to defend white nationalists right to free speech being trampled on by the govt and say nothing

Humans are like any other animal, we dont have that much will-power in comparison to our instincts. The argument is that if you give most people the ability to have safe and cheap drugs then they most likely will use them even if they arent healthy (As an example candy and soda) on top of that, unhealthy industries could seek to promote bad products just for profit like cigarette companies used to do before.

(Thats just from what i understand from it)

Yes, the Nazis were a big government gone wrong. Even if the state is thriving enough to afford social programs, they're only a windfall that can and will be cut off at the government's discretion. And invading Poland, let alone Russia, was a stupid risk and showed how fascist governments ultimately don't care and view their own people's lives as expendable, drafting/enslaving/stealing Germany's young men away from their families and homes in Germany to go die on foreign soil at Hitler's whims.

And the innovation and inventions of 1930s Germany should be credited to the German people, not the Nazi government or because it was fascist. There is little to no good that you can ever credit a government for but plenty of bad.
