Why do people here not agree with lip lift for midface shortening?

If you have a long philtrum and a thin upper lip, why is it a bad thing to do a lip lift in order to not only make your upper lip a bit thicker, but also reduce philtrum length which would also end up making your overall midface more compact?

But explain how lip lift dont work if you measure from the top of the upper lip? raising the upper lip would increase mid face ratio loll.

It´s help on the paper, but only for long philtrumcels. If you have a long nose you´re fucked.
