Why do people Larp being female ?

Ive seen a bunch of dudes with females as their profile picture, which is a little confusing, do they identify as women ??
and why are so many of them randomly from mumbai.

Its reasonable if your profile picture is ironman or spiderman, or a character you like, maybe even an animal you like. but being a male and having a female as a profile picture, i never understood, it reminds me to discord
