Why do people look down on snitches?

To me, snitching is important as it keeps people honest when there is no law enforcement around. If I saw anybody doing illegal/suspicious things, I'd call the cops right away.

"Snitches get stitches" is a nigger mentality. It's part of the reason their neighborhoods are so crime-ridden. Nobody dares to report a crime.
