If someone is dating you for your looks, they want your flesh, which is attached in your specific complexion to you for life, compared to your “personality” which can vary heavily.

Because it’s superficial due to the fact 1. They fade as you age 2. I’d rather be treated well and have loyalty over something to lust over. 3. You spend everyday talking to this person , they gotta be more than just to look at.

Unfortunately, people are just slaves to their biology , so they just go for the most sexually desirable genes.

Personality can be generic among many people
I understand people not wanting to be “used” for their looks, preventing that deeper connection
