Why do people say I look scary

At school during a rehearsal for the school play. A female actress who has a scene with me said I look scary. Why did she say that and I should I try to do smth about it in terms of my looks

you don’t look that uncanny tbh but what you can do is appealmaxxing like maybe behave differently and smile more. Try to make trustable facial expressions. Also make sure you keep your face rested. Just focus on presentation
