it’s primarily mainstream animes that have that trope and to an extent i agree with them that it is arrogant to call a character “white” simply because they have coloured eyes or hair. it’s just an artistic choice and there are multiple shows that have more “asian” artstyles imo these are just cherry picked examples

tokyo ghoul, solo levelling, re:zero, bleach, chainsaw man have many “asian” looking characters

btw ichigo is mixed and i’d say he looks pretty wasian to me
