I've seen people act like they'll instantly become confident, popular, and happy once they hit a certain level of attractiveness. Reality is usually a lot less dramatic. I don't doubt that. Feeling unattractive can affect confidence, socializing, dating, and mental health. But that doesn't necessarily mean every problem in your life came from your looks, or that fixing your looks automatically fixes everything else.
