Why do people use erda for fgfr3 inhibition

Like it’s deadass the worst safety profile drug I’ve arguably ever seen

And why not just use Tyra-300? It almost only inhibits fgfr3 and won’t fry your brain and nails

Fucking iqlet who hasn't done any research, obviously TYRA-300 is safer then Erda but it is also unironically about 125x the price so this is a pretty stupid question.

Exactly its extremely unselective and we arent sure on whether it burns the plates out or not
the loss of fgfr1 and fgfr2 is enough to counteract the benefit of losing fgfr3, which is why infigratinib does nothing in wild type mice but tyra 300 does
this is only exacerbated by erdafitinib
you have to dose erda or infig at oncology doses for longitudinal growth benefits in healthy peopl
