Cope is considered bad because the implication is you have something you need to cope about, otherwise it would just be doing an activity. Therefore any enjoyment yielded from cope is an inferior substitution for what you really want

Don't get me wrong brah but the amount of the word "cope " used here makes it sound like a tongue twister
