Darkening of the Iris reports come from Glaucoma patients applying this directly into their eyes (also Periorbital fat loss). This is very different than just applying it to your lash line. Both are unlikely but a darkening line is possible but reversible if you just hop off.

but Latisse mogs mechanistically because it acts directly on the follicle receptors instead of it being indirect like minoxidil. It’s a prostaglandin analog which is the primary driver in eyelash growth. It extends the Anagen phase longer and faster than minoxidil.
