I feel like most people think looksmaxxing is weird or corny but it’s confusing because from my perspective you’re just improving yourself and your entire life so for that to be thought of as weird is confusing, thoughts?

I feel like it's because it requires effort, and society values more something natural, something that you have without trying. For example, if height could be achieved by working out it wouldn't be seen as special as it is. Plus, there's this stereotype of people interested in looksmaxxing being incels, self-pity centered, etc. I bet that if you tell a person that you're interested in it, they'll immediately perceive you as self pity centered, incel, etc.
