I think you mean the children of rich people. There are stigmas associated with being the child of a rich person . The kids are presumed to be spoiled. They are generally 'othered', because class warfare. And the kid knows they personally didn't do anything to earn that wealth, so there is a sense of guilt.

Actual rich adults will deny being rich because they don't want to be targeted by criminals.
