Why do so many people nowadays have an overbite ?

I noticed that many people nowadays have a massive overbite and it looks like girls are more affected than guys. Is there a biological or environmental explanation for this phenomena ? They look so subhuman when they smile or laugh, they should never open their mouth again

What % of ppl would you say have overbite

for me, around 5-10% of ppl

Underbite is quite rare and I have only seen a few ppl with it

They don't? Besides 80% of people have malocclusions whilst 4% of them being underbites. Having a 2mm overbite is rather normal but what's not normal is having a recessed chin or mandible.

Got the OG overbite but the only thing that is affected by it is the height of my chin, which I easily fraud by jutting

That's both chin and mandible recession which is rare. I don't see zoomies that have my recession level. Seems I'm the only one (even though the cephalo says recession is mild, IRL it looks death tier).
