Why do so many users delete their accounts?

According to my calculations half of all org users have deleted their accounts for some reason which is fine but if you don't want to rot anymore why not just log of and leave org but keep your account up just in case you need it, @KronionTheGreat is deleating his account and I will defo miss him when the time comes but isn't that a waste of money for the sponcor badge?
