You really don't, obviously if you look good as fuck it will be easier. But the MAIN thing is being a chill likable person, also being able to take jokes and not get butthurt. I've noticed that in my social circle irl (i've known all of them since elementary, middle school 10+ years), we have this one kid who we've all known for years too we'll call him kyle, but he tends to get clowned on more than everyone because he gets butthurt easily and can't take jokes, like for example he'll leave the groupchat over something someone says, and he doesn't realize that this just makes everyone clown him even more. Don't be that guy. Laugh shit off and don't let things bother you,this will make you much more likable especially when making friends. Also i'm gonna be honest with you. if you didn't make friends during highschool, elementary school, it will be much harder for you to get into a social circle irl because most of them are already made. but its still possible.
