Ive seen a couple of posts lately of people doing geno or talking about it. But, isnt a chin implant just objectively better? Since it can modelled into more variations and can be taken out if result is bad. So why do people still opt for geno?

1) More natural looking
2) More stable
3) No scar under your chin
4) Stretches the skin, making your face look better overall
5) No risk for bone erosion over time

Genio is almost always better than a standard chin implant.

Fair

Depends on the starting point, IMO. If the chin is recessed, genio is a better option tbh, and if the shape is not up to the patient's liking, a custom chin implant can change it and even add width to it, so then it becomes a very good choice.
Another option to consider is MSDO, which widens the lower palate and the chin, but doesn't change chin shape and doesn't advance it. I have a square and projected but narrow chin and palate, so MSDO would kill two birds with the same stone and be a much better choice than a chin implant or a genioplasty for me.

It all depends on the level of recession

Because they have IQ's over 50
but it does work yeah it seems low iq but its the same as musclr growth - if u train them, they become damaged and grow afterwards

Why don't you post your chiseled bones so we can see the power of bonesmashing

1) More aesthetically important than the actual chin mass and shape itself, genio advances the hyoid upward by pulling the tongue muscle attachments forward, giving you a tighter jawline

2) It's almost impossible to look uncanny because unless you get significant downgraft, it simply lengthens your existing mandibular plane and goes with your natural look

3) Bone looks sharper than silicone, probably sharper than peek

Genio is superior in most cases, implants are more for creating a new shape when that is badly needed

Agree except for this part. Silicone and PEEK implants of the same shape will look the same.

IMO there is NO reason to get a chin implant over genio.

The reason that it exists imo is due to the profession of the surgeon: Plastic Vs Maxillofacial.

Plastic surgeons are not trained to cut bone but they are trained in soft tissue alterations, so chin implant is within their skills. Cutting bone is not.

Maxillofacial is a sub-speciality where they can do both but opt for bone osteotomy because its objectively better.
