despite having a narrow recessed jaw. I've noticed two guys can have the exact jaw bone but one will be way sharper EVEN if they're the same body fat

I have narrow, but strong jaw.

It is primarily fat distribution genetics. Some people just store fat under their chin. Nothing can save them.

However, if you have a medically recessed chin, it is often correlated to having a weak jaw, because the chin does not create enough projection to stretch the skin/fat under the jaw.
