Something like caffeine or adderall

For example when I drink a monster drink my eye lid exposure becomes non existent

then an hour after the monster/caffeine wears off my eye lid exposure is a bit worse then before the drink

why?

I’ve noticed that my UEE is directly tied to how awake or tired I am. If I haven’t slept well it’s pretty big UEE and if I have and I’m comfortable and relaxed yet alert I have some hooding and very minor UEE. Not sure if there’s a scientific reason readily available but my guess is to due with muscle laxity and compensation, with clinical ptosis you get an eyebrow that will be high up because the lid is lax, so the upper eyelid rises because it is actively fighting the downward pull of the ptosis. So when you fix ptosis the eyelids tend to get lower after, maybe something like a temporary ptosis occurs due to sleep deprivation or lack of alertness

When I’m caffeined up right at the start of my workout my eye lid exposure is non existent and god tier

then an hour later at the end of my workout when I’m tired and the caffiene is out my system, my eye lid exposure is worse than before the drink

I had no idea they had muscles, that clears things up :ogre:

I mean no shit dude, I was trying to make an educated guess about why those particular muscles change their laxity and position based upon your weariness, most of the face muscles do not drop or change with poor sleep, the eyebrow-region ones are the exception not the rule

UEE is often due to weak eye muscles. I used to have shitty UEE and trained my orbicularis and its basically gone.

if your supraorbital is too high set tho that may not be possible

that muscles theory might be legit, but i only feel heaviness in eyelids when dead sleepy tired, not end of workout tired. explains why you might get UEE from smoking weed — maybe you can train your way out of getting droopy eyes when high? (the main reason I quit weed months ago, I dont want to ever not look my best)

there are 4 major muscles behind the eye. they will sag because the eye area can be unsupported and tendons can be weak.
other muscles aren't like that because they have support. plus stuff like skin relies on collagen instead.

So basically squinting? Not a bad idea

Do you squint?

also I used to do these eye exceriszes where you hold ur eyes open stare at an single in the distance object and blink fast. Not sure if that helps eyelid exposure

More of a squinch. I don’t make my eyes small, I lower my eyebrows while keeping my eyes wide

super iced cold water for 5 minutes no breaks in between greatly improves eye area
