YES, God has tested/tests me/us everyday, in this case our test is being undesirable/ugly while we seek love and affection. God made me like he made us all, in this case we were all made undesirable, but i believe the cause for that was to detach us from our own ego, to make us humble, We are not good looking, we will not have sex, so we should seek more meaningful things, in this case for me the more meaningful things is God.
Also, If Chad repents for the premarital sex he has, yet does not take It to heart and seek to improve and not sin again he will not Go to heaven.
