Why do surgeons and orthos fraud their patients so hard

Reading this by Lord Mew I notice a trend I’ve seen where before and after photos are taken with hair covering the ear in the before and then an unobstructed view in the after. This is hiding the ear angle and therefore frauding the entire angle of the photos
