Why do the fucked up people always own cats?

Like I never hear someone say some weird shit with "my dog" in the same sentence it's always "my cat". Like if you heard about someone milking their pet or killing their pet or fucking their pet there's a 90% chance it's a cat.

Lol, just yesterday I saw a crazy cat lady making a scene in the supermarket - she was very tall, robust and angry because the fish had the wrong price, her cart was filled with cat food and some frozen fish. The cashier calmed her by asking question about her cat, her eyes immediately lit up and started to babble about her cats, and how picky they were with food, apparently the only fish they liked was Atlantic cod...
