Why do they make tortillas circular

This pisses me off so much. You check the size of your tortilla to wrap it and it looks good in the middle, so you keep going until it looks just right and then the fucking rest of it doesn't close because its a circle. And if you don't do this you waste the middle of the tortilla. It fucks up flavour balance and texture because you get different ratios of tortilla to stuff inside as you eat. It would be cheaper to make and store and transport and use a fucking rectangle. You know the shape we discovered the day we looked at a fucking rock? There is no good reason for it to be a circle.
Just terrible design all around. The ratio of radius to area of a circle is pretty shit for adding more food in, who the fuck thought we should square that shit? You have a perfect tortilla and then you add 1cm of cheese and nothing fits anymore. What we need is 2 square tortillas and put the ingredients between them so that way we don't have to wrap it or be wasteful. It would also make getting it to stay together in the sandwich press easier.
