You look like how you look in mirror. You will only see your asymmetries if you take photos of yourself and flip it. Or you can see others people asymmetries in mirror but not yourself.. but the guy that see his image in mirror is how you actually see him in reality. They dont see your subhuman asymmetries in real life.. Only in mirror. The familiar face effect. Faces you are used to seem more attractive. The mirror is not accurate as you are psychologically biased to view yourself as more symmetrical and more attractive.
No. You need buy real camera and learn the distances.i think Snapchat camera is the most accurate when it comes down to how you’re viewed irl?
It does not help much because camera are not build for self portrait images.Back camera, 6 ft away, take a video
Or go to the pinned post in ratings section by arabincel.
It wraps it for sure but people see you in warp mode in real life. They dont see the same asymmetries you do in flipped image.. They can only see it in mirror if you are near by.. I literally saw my brothers crooked nose in mirror then I looked at him.. It was literally gone.Correct. However your brain warps it. Does that make sense? The mirrored image of you is accurate- you perceive it inaccurately though.
Yes, how other people see you.
Yes but even videos has self distortion unfortunately.Yes but is it the most accurate you can do. You should be taking a video anyways to compare to IRL. A picture can only be “2d”.
I tried to stare and I barely nothing anything.. but in mirror image it was very obvious. I see him per week once. This is complete copium. They dont see assymetries because they arent obsessively staring at you. But they do subconsciously notice.
Keep looking at yourself in pics and you'll get used to itface legit looks deformed in my back camera
looks like shit pfl/ terrible droopy nct, asymmetrical ramus and jaw
overall subhumanity in the back camera
i wanna rope but I’m coping with surgeries in the future if I ever make enough money
It was lifefuel for me but I still don't know if that's how I actually lookI nearly roped when i saw myself in a true mirror for the first time
In short every human is mentally ill and has face dysmorphiaThe familiar face effect. Faces you are used to seem more attractive. The mirror is not accurate(ly perceived by you) as you are psychologically biased to view yourself as more symmetrical and more attractive.
finally a non retarded takeAnyone who lives in a building that has an elevator with a mirror knows that mirror = closest to what you look like. I see people daily in the elevator, including friends who I've known for almost a decade and they look exactly the same in the mirror as I perceive them irl. Meanwhile if I take random candid pics of them they go down like 1-2 points
You shouldn't trust your mirror completely, because your brain tricks you into thinking your face is more harmonious and symmetrical than it is in reality.
Yep, this is the best thing you can do.Anyone who lives in a building that has an elevator with a mirror knows that mirror = closest to what you look like. I see people daily in the elevator, including friends who I've known for almost a decade and they look exactly the same in the mirror as I perceive them irl. Meanwhile if I take random candid pics of them they go down like 1-2 points
I think the first option makes more sense, because it lines up with what we know about lens distortion in general and also in how we perceive OTHER people to look like. There are 2 types of answer in this thread:
1. Because the camera has lens distortion and you look worst
2. Because in the mirror you are used to your face and you think you are better looking.
There is not a real answer
The problem isent the mirror but the mind so the mirror is uselessYep, this is the best thing you can do.
To look at people that you know in the mirror and in the camera. This will also prevent you from "coping" bias, because you are not looking at yourself, but at other people.
Mirror comes the closest to reality in my experience aswell. People I know look like they look in a mirror.
Personally I prefer to take a video and then screenshot it. Have done it that way for years.Yh mirror seems to be more accurate.
I remember in the past a few friends have used my phone to take selfies, they had a meltdown and couldn't believe how they looked. They would show me the picture and ask if that's how I see them... and honestly, it trully wasn't. The situation always made me laugh lol. One thing I am going to say though, when you look good, you look good almost everywhere.
Good thing I’m not only one to notice thisface legit looks deformed in my back camera
