Why do we use PSL rating instead of the /10 like normies do?

PSL rating seems low IQ to some extenct tbh, it's all about the SMV rating, someone can be high PSL but low SMV like Barret and @Chad1212, and vice versa with Nick Bateman and the Turkish Cuckstreamer (Hassan I think?)

Both are okay, but the PSL scale is a little more direct since there's less of a difference between each point.
For example: if I were to differentiate between a 7/10 and a 8/10 it would be really hard, while differentiating between a PSL 5 and a PSL 6 is a lot easier. Considering PSL 1 and PSL 8 are (respectively) extremely rare and basically unattainable, the PSL scale is basically just 6 different "classes" of beauty.
