It can be for several reasons really:
1) They don't want to appear superficial
2) They have an image of themselves being virtuous superior beings. Instead of being honest, they refuse to look inward and carry out self-reflection.
3) Gaslighting Normies into becoming Simp orbiters. By stringing them along and giving them an illusion that she is attainable, she can drop bread crumbs and the pathetic subhumans will follow her.
4) Related to point 1 - must appease as much of the population as possible so her social status is not impacted.
5) When listing conventional "flaws", she always depicts a Chad or someone with top percentile status in her mind.
"I love guys with 10 followers on Instagram" but she is depicting an enigmatic, tall, dark and handsome Chad.
"Big noses are so hot", she is thinking of a Chad who is good-looking despite his nose, not because of it
"Medium ugly guys are my weakness!" she is thinking of some HTN actor or musician with the top 0.01% percentile status haloing his looks.
