Why do women on average have wider palates/mouths?

See it all the time, women have really wide mouths and palates. What is the reason for this? these ones almost always have good lower 3rd too, good jaw/chin and a wide face.
Also people say strong jaw/chin doesn't look good on women are completely wrong. All the really photogenic/attractive women have strong defined jaws and chins, basically a top tier lower 3rd which is most of their attraction. Strong lower 3rd + good eye area = most of the attractive women formula.
