Why do women wear those tight leggings in the gym?

they're always wearing tight leggings or those Nike pro whatever shorts.

are they that comfortable? I can't think of a reason to wear them other than:
1. They are the most comfortable things ever
Or
2. They just want attention and to show their ass in the gym and blame u for looking

i mostly wear baggy shorts cuz it looks and feels good. Can't they wear the same, baggy pants or shorts.
